To Celebrate the Vesak Full Moon Poya Day of 2026, a Dhamma Sermon and a midday alms-giving (Dana) program were conducted by the staff members of the Head Office on May 27, 2026, at the Sri Wijaya Sumanaramaya Temple in Korambe, Battaramulla, under the guidance of the Commissioner General of Rehabilitation, Brigadier M.S. Amith.
The Dhamma Sermon was delivered by the Venerable Korambe Somananda Thero, the Co-Chief Incumbent of the temple. Concurrently, a midday alms-giving was offered to Buddhist monks, which included a traditional Buddha Pooja consisting of 32 varieties of curries.
The event was attended by the Additional Commissioner General of Rehabilitation and the Commissioner (Administration) of the Bureau of Rehabilitation alongside all staff members of the Bureau of Rehabilitation Head Office.
